Duties : Perform advanced development, support, and implementation of complex systems using specialized domain knowledge and highly- developed business expertise. Lead large projects and programs with limited oversight. Evaluate business and software industry trends and suggests improvements to processes, products and services. Execute and deliver highly resilient and scalable platforms utilizing Container as a Service technologies. Lead and partner with various application owners, platform leads and team members to design, execute and continuously improve container technologies. Collaborate with peer technology organizations, business units, clients, and management to review applications, systems and infrastructure functionality and develop plans for improvement. Lead development and implementation of strategies focused on greater efficiencies to deliver systems and platforms. Identify and implements strategies to reduce platform Mean-Time-To-Resolution (MTTR) leveraging System Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and automation principles. Manages continuous improvement of service engineering, delivery, and operational practices. Reduce business impact by eliminating unnecessary downtime and disruptions. Understanding of current business and technology trends to identify opportunities for improve services and reduce risk. Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $174,700 to $214,700 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 5 years progressive post-Bachelor’s experience in a related occupation.

Experience must include the following: Kubernetes, Google Anthos/Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Ingress; VMWare Tanzu Application Service (TAS); VMWare ESX and VMWare NSX-T; VMWare Tanzu Observability, Wavefront, AppDynamics, and Splunk; Concourse, Terraform or Ansible; Agile in SCRUM and Kanban formats; and Python or Perl.
