Job Description

Olympus ambition is to extend its strong value proposition with digital solutions. To deliver to this vision, build a solution-centric operating model and embrace new ways of working, the Digital Unit DU (R&D) & Endoscopy Solutions Ecosystem Unit ESE (Commercial) were established.

This position plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and facilitating seamless agile and cross-functional collaboration within the Digital Unit and Endoscopy Solutions Ecosystem (DU/ESE) and with key stakeholders from other Business Units to optimize our market release quality and frequency. To achieve this, you will work closely with stakeholders across departments, leading efforts to design and implement optimal processes, operational governance structures, and meeting cadences. Your focus will be fostering efficient interaction between solutions, product, commercialization & other functional teams, ensuring alignment with overarching strategic objectives. You will report to the Global Head of Transformation Office for the Digital Unit and Endoscopy Solutions Ecosystem in this role.

Job Duties

  • Process & Governance Implementation: Work with relevant stakeholders to design and establish optimal processes, operational governance structures, and meeting cadence to ensure seamless cross-functional interaction between the solutions, product, commercialization & other functional teams and enable successful releases of digital products and solutions.

  • Ownership for E2E Processes: Ensure clear ownership, process adherence, optimal preparation, and facilitation of all relevant events, procedures and timelines in the agile product development and commercialization process.

  • Drive Stakeholder Alignment: Ensure seamless collaboration and alignment of processes and operational governance with relevant stakeholders and teams within the ecosystem organization (ESE & DU) and with other business functions within Olympus such as Sales, Marketing, and Market Intelligence.

  • Thought Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor for key stakeholders in the organization and regularly seek input and feedback to gain insights into concerns, priorities, and pain points to optimize collaboration. Be an ambassador for cultural change towards agile, solution-oriented ways of working.

  • Manage Risks: Identify potential risks and bottlenecks within processes & governance structures and develop mitigation strategies to address them.

  • Establish Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess process performance and effectiveness.

  • Optimize Continuously: Continuously optimize the effectiveness of processes and governance structures while integrating external best practices for agile product development and commercialization.

  • Enable Stakeholders: Ensure that relevant stakeholders and teams are educated on the established processes, governance structures and meeting cadences.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Engineering, or Science (focus on Digital Solutions or MedTech is a plus).

  • Successful track record and strong understanding in designing and implementing agile product development and commercialization governance frameworks, methodologies and processes to effectively build and commercialize products in an organization.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing digital operations, including process optimization, governance, and collaboration within a complex environment.

  • Expertise in leading and executing process improvement initiatives that create value, drive growth, and drive high-performance in the organization.

  • Experience in collaborating and partnering with global stakeholders in an international environment.

  • Candidate should be flexible to work outside US Office hours as project phases require

  • Candidate should be willing to travel (10-20% expected)

Preferred:

  • Certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, or Business Process Management (BPM) are a plus.

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in consulting, agile product management, B2B SaaS, Healthcare, or a related field preferred

  • Exposure to digital transformation in the MedTech industry is preferred.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and the drive to collaboratively shape and build our Digital Unit & Ecosystem Unit

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with an ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills with impeccable attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a complex environment.

  • Solid knowledge of the commercialization process for digital products, including product launch strategies, market analysis, and business development.

  • A deep understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc., including knowledge of agile principles, practices, and frameworks.

  • Organized and methodological working style, excellent time management.

  • Ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels, including senior leadership, product teams, commercialization teams, and other relevant departments globally.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $131,345.00 - $183,883.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
