JOB REQUIREMENTS: Generac Power Systems seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer in Waukesha, WI. Duties: Responsible for managing both the advanced and current supplier quality functions. Support the supplier quality activities between our production facilities, Engineering and Global Sourcing teams. Work with suppliers to improve quality systems and performance. Execute problem resolution to determine root cause with the use of corrective action and 8D problem solving methods. Travel will be required between local facilities and global suppliers. Support the facility Quality Managers with follow-up to supplier corrective actions. Provide guidance and understanding of Generac supplier expectations and objectives. Manage quality issues associated with purchased parts including initial supplier contact, containment and permanent corrective action. Conduct audits, evaluate performance, develop action plans and provide recommendations for the purpose of improving performance at suppliers. Participate in continuous improvement activities. Requires a Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or a related field plus 3 years of related experience in related occupations. Requires 3 years of experience in Quality assurance in a plant or supplier quality role, Quality control in a plant or supplier quality role. Requires 1 year of experience in New product development process such as APQP or PPAP, Conducting control plans, risk assessments and PFMEA. Requires 35% Domestic travel to supplier facilities throughout the U.S. 40 hours/week.
