ICONMA, LLC Sr. Substation Design Engineer in United States

  • Provides comprehensive engineering design services for substation facilities, and ensures the facilities are constructed on schedule and within committed resource allocations.

  • Develops economical, technically feasible, reliable substation physical and control designs. (10%)

  • Serves as an expert to provide engineering solutions to engineering problems. (10%)

  • Provides accurate engineering designs and products. Directs an engineering team for engineering and drawing productions. (20%)

  • Provides accurate cost estimates for use in company budgeting procedures such that cash flow requirements are identified. (15%)

  • Provides coordination and communication with other departments such that total project schedules and expenditures are maintained in accordance with commitments. (10%)

  • Provides input for development of detailed project schedules and update project management system to reflect the status of projects assigned. (5%)

  • Monitors project expenditures, and practices cost control such that project commitments are met. (5%)

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in engineering and 15 years industry experience as a practicing engineer and performing highly technical work of a specialized nature.

  • Comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge in substation/control engineering principals and knowledge of other phases of engineering.

  • Economic analysis methods, budgeting procedures, and company policies, rules and regulations.

  • Utility engineering practices and procedures, construction methods and material specifications.
