The Senior System Engineer for Cytiva is responsible for technical leadership in development of single-use systems and consumables for chromatography and filtration applications.

This position is part of the Instrument and Single Use Hardware Department located in Uppsala and will be on-site. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform concept evaluations, development of requirement specifications, design, risk assessments, verification/validation plans, reliability plans and the technical documentation for fulfilling regulatory and QMS requirements.

  • Participate and contribute with expertise in customer support and CAPA investigations.

  • Evaluate new technology for Single Use sensors, pumps and fluidic components.

  • Generate, support, evaluate new ideas and IP.

  • Work in a cross functional project team in close collaboration with HW, Ux, application teams, , QA/RA/Customer Regulatory Support, Manufacturing and Service.

  • Secure that the designs meet project targets.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • BSc degree in Physics engineering, molecular biology or equivalent experiences with minimum 10 years relevant work experience or more.

  • Acting as the technical leader during product development, research activities and technical investigations.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the desire to understand design fundamentals and how it should be applied in system development.

  • Translating customer requirements to technical solutions.

  • Mentoring team members with less experience.

  • Willingness to travel

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Biotech customer applications.

  • Development of Medical Device products.
