• The Parker Meggitt Simi Valley Fire, Safety, and Power Division site is a fully integrated location with product responsibility from Marketing and Engineering through Supplier Management, Program Management, and Manufacturing, ending with delivery to customers.

• Parker Meggitt – Simi Valley, CA, is also a key supplier in selecting energy markets, including nuclear gas analyzers and nuclear containment vessel penetration cables. Job Designation:The Production Supervisor role will provide a range of expertise in supporting and improving the manufacturing capabilities to produce products. Contributes to improving a range of fabrication processes that can directly impact the sustaining and growth efforts of operations. Participates in introducing new products to the manufacturing and supply chain environment.

Job Core Responsibilities

• Set and supervise the completion of daily priorities for the defined team of production workers, maintaining a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity

• Achieve day-to-day production objectives utilizing thorough and accurate planning methods to meet production schedules.

• Update and maintain necessary records/ documents of production work performed including the defined DLA board, ensuring items are escalated as appropriate.

• Manage staff selection, development, and performance to ensure requisite competencies and capabilities amongst the defined team. Utilizing training matrices to develop cross-training in order to enhance team flexibility.

• Ensure proper use of equipment, tools and materials amongst defined team.

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment ensuring defined processes and requirements are adhered to and escalated as appropriate

Other responsibilities as assigned.

• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications

Education:Bachelor's Degree required

Years Experience:min 3 - 5 years of relevant experience

Skills:

• A basic understanding of capacity planning and management, including Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), work scheduling techniques and inventory management.

• A basic understanding of LEAN production management

• Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the 8 Wastes.

• Have a basic understanding of HSE.

• Have a basic understanding of Zero Defects methodology.

• Preferably completed Behavioral Based Safety (BBS), High Performance Culture (HPC) training and ‘ Green Belt’ Qualified.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $78K-$110K PLUS STIP 10% target annual bonus

WORK AUTHORIZATION:This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. U.S. Citizenship/Permanent Resident is required for most positions.
