The Ruhlin Company is seeking to hire an experienced Concrete Slipform Paver Operator for roadway construction projects primarily in northeast and central Ohio.

Position Summary: Set up, operate, maintain, and repair concrete slip form paver machines safely, effectively, and efficiently.

Position Responsibilities:

• Operate GOMACO concrete slip form pavers for roadway construction projects.

• Perform machine setup and configurations including pre-operational checks.

• Assist with site preparation, verifying grades, and setting string line.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary repairs, adjustments, or replacements.

• Inspect, lubricate, and service equipment.

• Check, fill, and/or change appropriate fluids for all equipment parts and check/change filters.

• Read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate repair records.

• Perform all duties in accordance with the Company’s safety policies.

• Performs additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

  Essential Skills and Experience:

• Possess a valid driver’s license, CDL preferred.

• Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) deemed acceptable by the Company.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a concrete slip form paving machine.

• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical components.

• Basic computer/tablet skills.

• Willingness and ability to work occasional non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends) with some overnight travel.

• Maintain all required certifications by ODOT, OSHA and Company safety programs.

• Ability to work efficiently and effectively independently.

• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.

• Ability to learn with hands-on training and acquire additional certifications as needed.
