This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will be involved in the fabrication and assembly of flight hardware and the application of coatings for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of process and design engineers to characterize, improve, and document manufacturing processes and the resulting hardware quality. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Special Mentions Relocation provided Shift available: Friday - Sunday (5am - 5:30pm) This position is Friday- Sunday and is scheduled for 36 hours, but the employee will receive an 11% weekend shift pay uplift. As such, the position is paid the equivalent of the 40-hour Monday-Friday shift. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Apply coatings to parts (including touch-up) Maintain the coating booth operations - ensures desired coating levels, performs product changeovers, and does routine maintenance Operate an automated grit blaster. Operates, cleans, and maintains all equipment, including sprayers, robotic spray guns and pumps, etc. Fabricate flight parts and make adjustments to machine to achieve blueprint requirements Performs assembly of precision parts per defined work instructions Performs and/or schedules maintenance/repair of the spray booth to ensure proper operation when required Excellent communication skills Provide manufacturing feedback to design engineers Provide process improvement feedback to process engineers Safely work within an industrial environment Continuous improvement mentality Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent experience 2+ years of prior work experience in related field Ability to use basic precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, etc. Strong written and verbal communication to include, spelling, reading and math skills Self-Motivated with the ability to work within a team environment or independently as required Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work in small/restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Aerospace or related fields.
