Job Summary

Quality Assurance Inspector will review, perform and produce First Article inspections, verify and correct any issues with finish product and or manufacturing process.

General Accountabilities

Inspects products during production run for conformance to specifications by performing the following duties. Visually examines parts for surface defects such as material short, flash, cracks, etc. First article of inspection and final production run.

Verifies specified dimensions of product or material using appropriate measuring instruments and methods as defined on the Control Plan for each custom part. Rejects defective parts, and marks type of defect on part, container of parts, and inspection tag. Works from blue print drawings, charts, or specifications to check dimensions, squareness, hole locations, surface relationships, finish, material defects, electrical requirements, etc. Records data on inspection reports and plots on SPC charts as required.
