Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Accounting Analyst in the Agriculture industry, based in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves financial planning, forecasting, and reporting, supporting the development of brand-level financial plans and scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the formulation of brand level financial reporting plans and scenarios on an annual basis

• Coordinate and support in quarterly predictions of volumes and spending for product brands/categories

• Prepare internal financial statements at brand and sub-brand level

• Conduct review and analysis of the monthly income statements at a brand and line item level

• Assist with the modeling of annual brand plans

• Collaborate with brand teams to develop what-if and breakeven scenarios

• Assist in the creation of models for potential new categories and brands

• Coordinate and assist with the preparation of quarterly forecasts by brand and category

• Assist with the development of long-range plan (LRP) inputs and expectations

• Utilize skills in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Accounting Functions, Budget Processes, Finance, Journal Entries, General Ledger.

Requirements • Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Comprehensive understanding and experience with Accounting Functions

• Expertise in Budget Processes within the agriculture industry

• Strong finance skills and experience

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries

• Experience managing a General Ledger

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Proven leadership abilities

• Commitment to continuous learning and skills development

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
