Northrop Grumman Indirect Budget Analyst in Northridge, California

We are looking for you to join our team as an Indirect Budget Analyst based out of Northridge, CA. This position will be onsite. No teleworking available for this position.

The Indirect Budget Analyst is responsible for developing and monitoring of the overhead budget for the Advanced Weapons Business Unit (AWBU) of Northrop Grumman in Northridge, CA. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with all levels of the AWBU management team to develop and manage this critical budget.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Coordinates the annual budgeting cycle and in-year forecasting for indirect expense and direct labor base

• Conducts variance analysis throughout the year and provides recommendations to BU leadership for areas of strategic focus

• Ensures planned and actual overhead expenditures meet the financial goals and objectives of the organization while also complying with corporate guidance and federal regulations

• Provides administrative support including but not limited to processing journal entries, intercompany cost transfers, and accounts payable support.

Basic Qualifications

• 3 years of experience with Bachelors, 1 year of experience with Masters or 7 years of direct experience in lieu of degree with High School Diploma or equivalent

• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)

• Experience budgeting in

• Experience preparing and presenting information and/or analysis to all levels of management

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related subject area.

• Familiarity with CostPoint, internal financial budgeting systems, COGNOS

• Government contracting experience

• Experience with DCMA/DCAA audits

• Expertise in Microsoft PowerQuery, Power BI, and/or PowerPivot

• Experience in ERP implementations

• Prior experience in managing budgets associated with applied rates across multiple cost centers

Salary Range: $65,600 - $98,400

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
