Navistar, Inc. Procurement Manager - Professional Services in Lisle, Illinois

Position Overview

Navistar has an exciting new opportunity for a Procurement Manager – Professional Services to join our team at our headquarters in Lisle, IL. This role reports to the Senior Procurement Manager of Services. The Procurement Manager role will lead professional consulting services working cross functionally with key stakeholders and the leadership team at Navistar. The Procurement Manager is responsible for working with various stakeholders across North America to support appropriate scoping and requirement documentation and will lead development and delivery of the formal RF(X) process.

The Procurement Manager will implement sourcing strategies for professional services. This role drives strategic sourcing activities and will negotiate commercial agreements. The Procurement Manager is the point of contact between internal Navistar stakeholders and vendors to ensure the best value, that timetables are met, and execution of the service meets expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for the purchase of Professional Services

  • Execute sourcing activities related to professional service requirements utilizing the technical scope of work provided by internal stakeholders

  • Lead negotiations and sourcing decisions

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and legal agreements, and maintain relationships with suppliers

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and statements of work

  • Ensure compliance with Procurement policies and procedures

  • Review and analyze supplier performance, product quality, and pricing to optimize purchasing decisions

  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline procurement processes and improve efficiency

  • Build and manage relationships with cross functional team members, management, and suppliers

  • Identify and implement cost savings opportunities

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • At least 5 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience

OR

  • Master's degree

  • At least 3 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience

OR

  • At least 7 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

  • Experience with Indirect commodities is preferred, but not required

  • Experience managing sourcing projects with values greater than $1 Million

  • Demonstrated experience establishing procurement strategies and leading complex competitive bid processes

  • Ability to work independently in a high-paced environment

  • Ability to read, understand, and execute contracts and legal documents

  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills

  • Effective communicator at all organization levels
