CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our organization to develop the Supply Chain platform solutions that power Cloud and Devices supply chains of Microsoft. We are building software systems that give Microsoft the ability to succeed in an ever-changing business environment. • Work closely with a team of highly capable software engineers, partner teams, product managers, UX designers, leadership, and business stakeholders.

• Lead the design and implementation of world class platforms and products with high quality on schedule.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python o OR equivalent experience.

• 10+ years of software development experience, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale software systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10 + years of software development experience, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale software systems.

• 5+ years of experience in architecting and building highly available distributed systems at scale.

• Experience in providing technical leadership and mentorship to an engineering team.

• Deep technical expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g. C#, Java, JavaScript etc.) and software development frameworks.

• Deep technical expertise in distributed computing and big data and its ecosystem

• Solid design and coding skills with a bias for architecture at scale

• 3+ years of experience building applications on Azure cloud.

• 5+ years’ experience in a technical leadership role, not necessarily managing people.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and the ecosystem is preferred

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS or similar cloud computing platforms is preferred

• Experience with DevOps practices and techniques such as Continuous Delivery, TDD, and Testing in Production

• Exposure to Data Analytics architecture and Azure Data analytics stacks is preferred.

• Experience with any of the following engineering areas: performance, security, privacy, accessibility, and localization/globalization

• Understanding of software engineering principles, distributed systems, design patterns, data structure & algorithms, software security, reliability, and performance optimization.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of motivating and leading technical teams, and collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, balancing long-term objectives with short-term business needs.
