Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Months/Years of Experience:
Five (5) years of applicable experience; or at least 60 credit hours or an Associates Degree and three (3) years of applicable experience; or 30 credit hours and four (4) years of applicable experience; or completion of a formal training program and three (3) years of applicable experience.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship. A valid driver's license. Must have or be able to acquire a security clearance. Must be able to operate optical equipment in outdoor weather conditions, maintain photo/optical equipment, operate high-speed digital and imaging equipment, and subsequent processing of the imagery. Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
Skills Needed:
The photographer will work as a team member required to plan, setup, install, troubleshoot, and maintain range photographic equipment. Be able to: monitor test operations and collect/evaluate data for accuracy and maintain databases; and to support senior engineers and photographers during test operations on local test ranges as well as CONUS travel missions on other DoD test ranges.
Duties:
Performing engineering technician tasks in support of Department of Defense test programs. Supporting the testing of military assets using established methods and procedures. Preparation of test items including manual lifting/unpacking/packing of hardware. Performing work in a laboratory and outdoor setting. Capturing and documenting data using manual and IT formats from tests and test assets. Working with other testing labs in the organization through cross-functional training activities.
