Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Months/Years of Experience:

Five (5) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or two (2) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and three (3) years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements: h. Instrumentation - Experience must include successful completion of sixteen (16) weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.

Required Qualifications:

U.S. Citizen. A valid driver's license. Must have or be able to acquire a security clearance.

Skills Needed:

Will be required to install/maintain/repair instrumentation utilized in military testing. Must be able to work in all environments and be able to navigate many different terrains while performing instrumentation duties. This position will read schematics, solder, cable repair and possess the ability to troubleshoot electronics in a real time environment.

Duties:

Performing engineering technician tasks in support of Department of Defense test programs. Supporting the testing of military assets using established methods and procedures. Preparation of test items including manual lifting/unpacking/packing of hardware. Performing work in a laboratory and outdoor setting. Capturing and documenting data using manual and IT formats from tests and test assets. Working with other testing labs in the organization through cross-functional training activities.
