Description

Leidos Dynetics Defense Systems is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions to complex problems for it's Hypersonics line of business. With offices across the United States engaging the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, Leidos Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. The selected candidate will support the Common Hypersonic Glide Body program (C-HGB).

Primary Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work along a group of test engineers (electrical/mechanical) and test technicians, performing acceptance and qualification testing of flight hardware. The selected candidate will also handle all tasks assigned by the lead engineer and may aid in writing reports and updating records. The candidate will be part of a diverse team whose work will include setting up test equipment, performing functional testing of avionics components, setting up dynamic/climatic test environments, and subsystem AI&T. Work will be conducted a laboratory environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Candidate should have at least 4 years of relevant experience.

  • Candidate must demonstrate relevant skills in one or more of the focus areas, have good interpersonal skills, and have the desire to work in a highly focused technical team.

  • Candidate must have experience in functional testing of electrical/electronic assemblies.

  • Candidate must have familiarity with working with electrical schematics and cable/wiring diagrams.

  • Candidate must be able to work independently, or as part of a team, in a dedicated workforce.

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and must possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with environmental testing including thermal, vacuum, shock, vibration, and EMI/EMC to following standards: MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-464.

  • Experience in PCB design.

  • Have advanced experience reading mechanical assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and other manufacturing documentation.

  • Organizational skills to document test procedures, test reports and support configuration management of the test equipment.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
