Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary:

The Clinical Coordinator demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to his or her patients and to provide direction and supervision to other staff caring for patients in receiving Respiratory Care.

  • You will ensure that the delivery of care to patients is based on criteria that are specific to the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of that individual, depending on age and developmental level and on competence of staff assigned to that patient.

  • You will review patient care daily, visit patients regularly, making suggestions to improve care and become involved in the care of selected patients.

  • You will organize, coordinate, and facilitate patient care assignments in her/his department/unit during all operating hours.

  • You will perform delegated management duties, assigned by the Respiratory Director, which are consistent with her/his scope of practice and competence.

  • You will demonstrate an understanding of the budget process and staffing plan, implementing cost-effective strategies in staffing and supply management decisions.

  • You will participate in the interviewing, monitoring, coaching, evaluating, disciplining process, and mentoring/development of the staff through ongoing education.

Position Requirements:

  • Current licensure in Colorado is as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

  • Current BLS and ACLS certification upon hire.

  • PALS, NRP within three months of hire.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of respiratory therapy.

  • At least two years of experience in Respiratory Care

  • Previous experience in charge/supervisory or management position preferred.

  • Demonstrates good organizational skills.

  • Demonstrates good critical thinking skills.

  • Displays leadership and problem-solving skills.

  • Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.

  • Able to articulate and demonstrate knowledge of respiratory care theory and practice
