Job Description:

As a senior engineer, you will ensure completeness and consistency of project’s RAMS referential, aligned with corporate processes, and lead its deployment. You will spread Product Safety mindset, supporting proper awareness in operational teams. You will also support targets achievement on projects, coach safety managers in the Product Safety’s referential application on development, midlife and serial life projects. You will lead, in coordination with the Safety Network, projects’ risks assessments and monitor the proper implementation by the projects of the related recommendations and recovery plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the consolidation of methodological & technical RAMS referentials with the Corporate Safety Network.

• Identify potential local adjustments needed, assess such adjustments and lead its deployment.

• Define support process enabling the referential deployment (training, coaching, etc…) and contribute & lead support implementation.

• Monitor adoption levels of RAMS referential and awareness within the safety team.

• Assess the consistency with the referential and the technical robustness of the main RAMS work products.

• Contribute to the definition and prioritization of the RAMS activities to be executed on the different projects. Approve the selection from an expertise standpoint making sure the Product Safety ambitions can be reached.

• Support Safety managers in the concept choices’ evaluations on projects (safety concepts, safety case definition, internal and suppliers’ justifications…)

• Contribute to Safety Assessments preparation.

• Evaluate safety risks when topics are detected along the development or in serial life.

• Make sure root causes analysis and recovery plans are robust.

• Propose any update needed to maintain Product Safety management system and policies.

Required Skills

• 8 years of experience in System Safety, or Functional Safety, preferably in automotive sector

• Expert knowledge of ISO26262

• Excellent communication and analytical skill

• Experience with Ansys Medini tool

• Preferred: familiarization with tools: PLM, APQP, 3D-Com, Edge, MS Office Applications, GST

• Ability to work independently as required and take ownership of project deliverables.

• BS degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline, or related discipline
