Infrastructure Products Group (IPG) is a part of CRH, the leading building materials business in the world. We are a leading provider of engineered building product solutions and services across North America. Our products reliably convey, connect, and protect critical water, energy, communications, and transportation infrastructure within the residential, commercial, and public infrastructure segments. Within IPG, our Pipe and Precast business employs 2,600 people and operates c.50 manufacturing facilities with ambitious growth plans encompassing organic growth, acquisitions and capital investments.

The Role

In this role, the Finance Director will oversee all accounting and finance functions for the Pipe and Precast division, including core accounting and controller functions, business partnership, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, revenue recognition, product costing, working capital management and associated analysis and reporting. The team works closely with IPG's corporate center finance team as well as our centralized shared services functions covering accounts payable and receivable.

The Finance Director will act as an advisor and business partner for the Pipe and Precast leadership team by interpreting financial results relative to business strategy and making recommendations to improve EBITDA performance. They will evaluate and make improvements to accounting processes while ensuring that practices comply with organization accounting and internal control policies and applicable laws and regulations. They will also play a critical role in reviewing and evaluating acquisition and capital investment opportunities while also being responsible for the financial integration of new acquisitions (typically 3 - 4 per year)

This position has 4 direct reports, with a total team of c.50. Assessing, recruiting, coaching, and developing talent is critical to success in this role.

Responsibilities

Direct and monitor all financial activity of the organization Develop and implement company-wide budget plans Build out Financial Planning and Analysis organizational capabilities Partner with senior leadership to support long-term capital allocation strategy and strategic financial decision making Research pricing, competitors' trends and factors affecting performance Provide business modelling and risk assessments Support ERP integration preparations in alignment with overall Infrastructure Products Group (IPG) systems strategy involving significant investment in a new ERP system Lead financial integration of the current team and new acquisitions with regards to organization restructuring initiatives and achieve synergies with Oldcastle Infrastructure and CRH Identify trends, advise senior leadership, and recommend actions based on so nd analysis Implement and monitor internal accounting policies Internal control evaluation and implementation in a SOX environment Internal and external audit management Lead a team of c.50 accounting staff Develop and prepare annual, quarterly, monthly, and ad-hoc financial and metric reports Streamline processes for efficiency and identify cost savings opportunities Manage month-end and quarterly close and consolidation process Participate in a range of group and divisional projects as required

Qualifications / Requirements

BS/BA degree in finance or accounting; Advanced Degrees, CMA, CPA a plus 10 Years of relevant financial and management experience Manufacturing industry and cost accounting experience Experience with data mining or planning applications Experience with modern financial systems (e.g. SAP and Oracle EPM) Advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word, Dashboards and CRM) and attention to detail around producing high quality products and meeting deadlines Excellent financial and business acumen In-Depth understanding of key performance indices and their drivers Active, effective communicator who drives a company vision/mission to align teams, critical resources, management, and stakeholders together with people leadership and development skills Build relationships with a range of stakeholders across the company Travel - as required but expected to travel regularly to company sites and events to build business knowledge and key stakeholder relationships
